Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee the planning, organization, and management of production operations at our plastic profile extrusion facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will ensure that products are manufactured efficiently, delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is pivotal in driving operational success and fostering a positive, safe, and results-oriented team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute production plans to achieve quality, output, and financial targets.
  • Build, lead, and manage the extrusion department team, ensuring optimal performance and development.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to support production goals.
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, and Quality standards across the manufacturing team.
  • Coordinate production schedules, monitor progress, and provide regular status updates to the Plant Manager to guarantee on-time delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process and quality improvements, implementing solutions to enhance performance.
  • Forecast, establish, and manage budgets, driving cost control initiatives to maximize profitability.
  • Conduct performance reviews for team members, providing feedback and fostering growth.
  • Serve as an active member of the Safety Committee, championing a culture of safety.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative work environment aligned with the company's core values.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or Industrial Technology preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastics manufacturing, with a preference for plastic extrusion expertise (injection or blow molding experience also considered).
  • Proven experience with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively.
