Job Title: Production Manager Location: North Charleston, SC Employment Type: Direct Hire Full-Time Onsite First Shift (Monday Friday) Experience Level: Mid-Senior (5+ Years) Education Required: Bachelor's Degree Industry: Biotechnology Visa Sponsorship: Not Available Relocation Assistance: Not Provided Openings: 1 Position Summary: A global manufacturer in the biopharma/traceable products space is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead daily operations at their North Charleston, SC site. This role will be responsible for managing a production team and overseeing the manufacturing of analytical standards. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, strategic, and results-driven with a strong background in quality control, production planning, and continuous improvement within a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 7 10 production employees. Hire, train, develop, coach, and evaluate team performance. Ensure production goals are met in terms of quality, efficiency, and timeliness. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align output with organizational goals. Conduct risk assessments and lead internal audits. Apply continuous improvement methodologies to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and daily execution of the production plan. Support new product development from feasibility through commercial launch. Report on production metrics and operational performance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (Chemistry or Biology preferred). Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Ability to quickly learn and implement new procedures. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
