Position Summary
S3 is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Production Manager to lead operations at our client's central production facility. This location serves as the hub for all of their retail and route stores, making it a critical part of their success. The Production Manager plays a key role in driving productivity, maintaining quality standards, and building a strong team culture in a challenging but rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop the Production Team: Provide clear direction and coaching to team leads and production staff across all departments - including pressing, spotting, assembly, and packaging.
- Drive Performance and Efficiency: Ensure the plant meets or exceeds key performance indicators (KPIs), with a strong focus on reaching an overall labor percentage target.
- Support Individual Goals: Help team members in each department achieve their individual targets, which vary by role. Use real-time feedback, coaching, and performance tracking to foster success.
- Foster a Positive Work Culture: Motivate and engage team members in a physically demanding environment - early morning hours, hot summer conditions, and standing throughout the day are part of the job. Your leadership sets the tone.
- Manage Workflow and Scheduling: Monitor and adjust daily production flow to ensure timely, accurate processing while maximizing efficiency.
- Maintain Quality Standards: Uphold high standards for care and finishing across all customer orders.
- Solve Problems Quickly: Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, equipment issues, and personnel challenges with professionalism and urgency.
- Ensure Safety and Organization: Promote a safe, clean, and well-organized workplace by enforcing all safety protocols and best practices.

Qualifications
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in production, manufacturing, or operations.
- Strong people leadership skills - with a proven ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment.
- Passion for efficiency, continuous improvement, and team success.
Work Environment
Full-time, early morning schedule.
Physically active and demanding environment - must be able to lead by example and stay fully engaged on the production floor.
