Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain Engineering is seeking a highly motivated Production Engineering Manager to join our In-Production Supply Chain & SDC Support Team in Seattle, WA ,

This team is responsible for integration across commercial and defense airplane programs, for in and out of production models. In this role you will work with global teams and interface with key internal stakeholders to provide spare parts data and technical support and solutions to ensure the successful operation of our customers and the BGS Supply Chain business.

As a manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategy and vision for the team and overall functional and technical excellence of the team including initiatives that focus on safety, quality, people, and delivering results.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages In-Production Manufacturing Planners in support of the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Supply Chain (spares) business including 24x7 AOG support
  • Manages Manufacturing Planners at the Spares Distribution Center (SDC) Repair Station
  • Provide oversight and support to Manufacturing Planners in the Boeing Engineering Centers (BEC) in Ukraine and Poland
  • Collaborate with BGS Supply Chain, BCA Engineering, BCA Support and Services, and other teams to support our customers spares requests and meet our commitments
  • Spares Engineering processes and business systems across Commercial and Defense programs
  • Spares Engineering business system development, training and support
  • Tool disposition management
  • Development of workflow tools & metrics
  • Ensure the safety of the employees, products and services are prioritized along with quality and integrity.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and provide developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities. Conduct performance reviews.
  • Provide management support to remove roadblocks and support help needed requests from the team to meet customer commitments and expectations.
  • Lead the team by setting goals and expectations, clarifying strategy, implementing policies and procedures, and communicating frequently.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, schedules and cost to ensure performance to plan.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and suppliers.
  • Provide oversight of technical approaches, products and processes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Aerospace Engineering experience.
  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of spares engineering or aftermarket support
  • Experience with heritage McDonnell Douglas and Boeing aircraft
  • Experience in technical management and oversight of projects and resources.
  • Proven ability to embrace change, lead continuous improvement, and treat safety and quality as top priorities.
  • Experience leading a cross-functional team.

Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
