The Production Director is a key member of the executive team, responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of modular manufacturing across multiple locations. This role oversees the strategic execution of production schedules, quality assurance, safety, personnel development, and process improvement, ensuring alignment with CMC s vision for operational excellence, innovation, and servant leadership.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Provide servant-minded leadership to Plant Managers, Foremen, Schedulers, and Fabrication Leads across all production sites.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance management within the production department.
  • Partner with Personnel Development to ensure robust 30-60-90-day onboarding and career pathing plans.
Production Oversight
  • Ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of modular buildings according to client specifications.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics (output, quality, labor efficiency).
  • Coordinate across departments (Design, Procurement, QA/QC, Project Management) to streamline build cycles.
Process Optimization
  • Standardize workflows and documentation across locations.
  • Lead LEAN initiatives, 5S practices, and root cause analysis for bottlenecks and defects.
  • Champion ERP utilization to improve transparency, tracking, and production planning.
Safety & Quality
  • Enforce OSHA and internal safety protocols across all manufacturing areas.
  • Oversee quality control standards in coordination with the QA/QC Director.
  • Conduct regular facility audits and develop corrective action plans as needed.
Strategic Planning & Budgeting
  • Develop and manage production budgets including labor, materials, and capital expenditures.
  • Participate in forecasting and capacity planning aligned with company growth goals.
  • Support new facility build-outs and layout optimizations.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing or construction, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-site production teams in a high-output environment.
  • Deep understanding of modular or prefabricated construction preferred.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems and LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
