Purpose

The Production Designer is responsible for preparing production-ready assets based on creative files that are provided to our team, often iterating multiple versions in different sizes. All work will adhere to client brand guidelines and vendor/social platform specifications for sizing and safe zones. Seeking someone with 2-4 years of experience in graphic design (mostly static for digital and print applications, but motion design/animation is a huge plus) in a high-volume, fast-paced production-heavy environment. You will be a part of a small but mighty team of detail-oriented design-minded folks.

This position will require you work in the office 3 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Prepare files according to templates, quality control/assurance (QC/QA) checklists, technical requirements, and client-specific instructions.
  • Able to adhere to overarching client brand standards.
  • Design elements from a template, format for consistency and create new styles as needed.
  • Clean up and insert graphics.
  • Accurately prepare files for print production.
  • Be curious about the advertising industry and have constant wonder about the evolving nature of social, digital and print creative along with its capabilities.
  • Problem solve, trouble-shoot, and react to the ever-changing landscape of digital and social advertising/creative.
  • Deliver static design work across client, internal, and new business requests including digital banners, social media assets, printed layouts, and digital/print out of home (billboards).
  • Utilize organizational skills to daily manage tasks and projects.
  • Communicate clearly with the Producer and Senior Production Designer throughout the course of a project using our project management software
  • Manage large volumes of projects and clients with tight deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Consistently bring a fresh perspective of design style into the agency; push the boundaries of and never settle for average.
  • Maintain our high standards of excellence throughout the production process.

Professional Skills & Knowledge

  • Beginner to intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), their graphic file formats, color spaces and how to optimize for different platforms (print, web, mobile, etc.).
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds in a hybrid in-person/virtual work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and collaborate as a member of a team, while prioritizing multiple objectives to consistently meet established timelines.
  • Willingness to jump in where needed and be a team player, even if the request is unusual.
  • Demonstrated organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • A quick and resourceful learner able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, be detail-oriented, diligent, communicative, and work with tight deadlines.
  • Have excellent self-QC/QA abilities and accurate formatting skills.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and integrity, willing to ask questions and request assistance when needed while being open to constructive feedback.
  • AI proficiency and the desire to learn more (i.e. Adobe Firefly/Generative Fill, but also appreciate knowledge of any other AI platforms).
  • Mac proficiency is a must.
  • Stays current on design and typography trends as well as having an understanding and appreciation for classic design principles.
  • Knowledge of social media and digital platforms, including being active on social media platforms and exploring emerging technology within the space.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Drive, etc.).

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Figma, Adobe After Effects, Animate and/or Premiere Pro
  • Knowledge of fonts and font licensing
  • Experience with large format printers
