Description
The Product Development Admin will be supporting the Product Development team by managing essential data, documentation, and inventory tracking. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of raw materials within the department, formulations, and product samples while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Accurately enter, maintain, and update product formulation data, raw material specifications, and testing results in company databases.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of product documentation, including formulas, ingredient lists, and regulatory compliance records.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by verifying and cross-referencing information with multiple sources.
• Organize and maintain electronic and physical files for product development projects, ensuring compliance with FDA, GMP, and other regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Procurement, and Manufacturing to ensure accurate product information.
• Support the Product Development team by preparing reports, summaries, and presentations based on collected data.
• Monitor project timelines and assist with tracking milestones for new product launches.
• Track and maintain product development inventory levels, ensuring accurate records of raw materials, packaging, and product samples.
• Assist in coordinating sample requests and documentation between vendors and internal teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Food safety standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of cGMPs
• Ability to manage processes and procedures.
• Ability to manage team members effectively.
• Ability to work in an environment with inside/outside extreme temperatures and in noisy environments.
• A year of experience in data entry, administrative support, or product development support in a manufacturing or regulated industry (preferably dietary supplements, food, or pharmaceuticals).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database management systems
• Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets with a high degree of accuracy
EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher in a scientific discipline or food and nutrition-related field desired.
Employee Responsibilities Adhere to cGMP and SOPs.
• Report any situations that might have a negative effect on food safety or quality immediately to supervisor or QA Department.
• Ensure food safety and quality are maintained according to company standards.
• Comply with policies and procedures to prepare and pack products under sanitary conditions that do not expose it to the risk of contamination.
• Operate and maintain a clean and hygienic standard of operation.
• Follow Company cGMP's (Current Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Policies at all times).
QUALIFICATIONS: If you apply for this position, you must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for an employer sponsored visa (work permit).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The work is sedentary, requiring extended period of sitting or standing to perform the work. There may be some infrequent movement from area-to-area to transport items weighing no more than 20 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e. general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
