Purpose of Position:
The Product Specialist for Safety is a key role in the Material Movement Business unit technical support team. The purpose of the position is to acquire and provide subject matter expertise for the products of the portfolio, troubleshoot and resolve escalated customer technical issues from regional service and support teams, provide training/upskilling of regional resources, help in high value project delivery, and to collaborate in strategic customer success efforts.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Acquire and Maintain Expert Knowledge:
Become an expert in the Material Movement safety line of products
Continuously update and deepen your understanding of these products

Upskill Regional Services and Support Resources:
Collaborate with regional Services and Support (S&S) teams
Assist them in the deployment, support, and usage of Safety products
Share your expertise to enhance their capabilities

Technical Validation and Documentation:
Work closely with Product Managers and Product Development
Participate in the technical validation of new product releases
Organize and execute test plans, both internally and in the field
Update and maintain technical documentation for the product
Provide the applicability and usability feedback to PD and PM before product release

Testing and Quality Assurance:
Conduct internal testing, field trials, and User Acceptance Tests (UATs).
Ensure the quality and reliability of Safety products
Design and create content for demonstrations

Tier 2 Support:
Provide second-level support to regional S&S teams
Address and resolve issues reported for Safety products

Knowledge and Experience - Required:
Bachelor or Computer, Electrical, Mining or relevant Engineering Discipline
3+ year Linux experience and knowledge
Ability to support applications, reports and processes
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken) - Must be bilingual
Self-managed, able to work in fast-paced and changing environments with a hands-on attitude
Field Work, Customer Support or Relevant experience required.
Knowledge of the Hexagon Operator Alertness System (OAS)

Knowledge and Experience - Desired:
Experience in Mining highly desirable
SQL And Database Knowledge and Skills highly desirable
Knowledge of scripting in Powershell, Bash, or Python

Travel:
Regional & International Travel availability - expected at 10% to 30% (no more than 2 weeks at a time)
