Job Summary:

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Product Specialist to support on-site IT operations in San Francisco, CA. This W-2-only contract role focuses on infrastructure support, cybersecurity fundamentals, system enhancements, and vendor coordination within high-impact industries such as Life Sciences and Health Care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Queue Master: analyze incoming tickets, route them to appropriate teams, and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Manage and monitor metrics in Remedy, including SLA, OLA, and KPI tracking.
  • Review server logs for errors and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors.
  • Handle vendor tickets, ensuring proper documentation and timely follow-up.
  • Provide input on process optimization by identifying repetitive work and proposing solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for infrastructure consolidation or retirement of legacy systems.
  • Perform hands-on server administration, patching, and OS upgrades.
  • Utilize cybersecurity tools and apply best practices to system operations.
  • Execute complex troubleshooting and system enhancements as needed.
  • Develop and maintain scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong experience in server administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity toolsets and principles.
  • Experience with system patching and operating system upgrades.
  • Ability to conduct complex infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of Remedy ticketing system and associated metrics.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and managing external ticket queues.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experienced in environments with regulatory oversight such as Life Sciences or Healthcare.
