ResponsibilitiesDescription The Material Processing (MP) Product Specialist is responsible for supporting and driving the organics, waste, aggregate and forestry business segments within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR), NW Ohio, Northern Indiana and Michigan. This role serves as the regional resource for the CEC sales team and customer base, providing equipment and application expertise.
Customer Engagement and Sales Support • Build and maintain long-term partnerships with customers to deliver effective solutions.
• Assist the regional sales team with rental and demo support
• Promote the sale of whole goods, parts, and services to maximize customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with regional management on machine specifications and inventory planning.
• Document sales activities in CRM, including quotes, won/lost sales and rentals, and call reports.
Product Demonstration and Training • Lead and manage customer demonstrations alongside sales teams.
• Attend relevant OEM training programs to expand and maintain product knowledge.
• Conduct operational and technical training for customers and CEC personnel as required.
Market Intelligence and Strategy • Monitor and report on competitor products and market trends.
• Identify and communicate potential product opportunities within the assigned AOR.
• Track business opportunities through regular customer interaction.
• Engage with OEM representatives on quotes, machine demos, and market intelligence.
• Participate in regular calls/meetings with OEMs.
Support and Collaboration • Provide the regional product support group with machine population data to inform training needs and parts inventory requirements.
• Offer technical assistance to the local product support team as needed.
• Regularly communicate and engage with the mainline sales team to promote products within the AOR.
Professional Conduct and Compliance • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments, adhering to company policies.
• Present a professional image of CEC when interacting with customers and the community.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree or relevant industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in organics, waste, aggregate and forestry business segments
