Product Software Engineer

Location: Remote in Canada

About the job you're considering
We are looking for senior backend engineers for a critical project, that comprises a series of improvements to the host intake experience for a valuable client in hospitality sector. Engineers will be working with cutting edge tech stack, collaborating closely with the Machine Learning/Intelligence team.

Your Role:

• Independent contributors needed to navigate through the software development process.

• Working closely with client stakeholders on day-to-day assignments.

• Troubleshooting and optimizing microservices.

• Obtains tasks from the project lead and prepares functional specifications.

Your skills and experience:

• 5+ years of relevant software development industry experience.

• Proficiency in Java backend language.

• Strong understanding of microservices, Kubernetes and APIs for end-to-end development.

• Exposure to architectural patterns of a large, high-scale system/product, like APIs, high volume data pipelines, distributed systems, and efficient algorithms.

• Willingness to work across the backend stack to address technical challenges anywhere in the system
