POSITION SUMMARY

Since 1969, our factory has been a cornerstone just eight miles west of Harrisburg. Situated at a transportation crossroads, it offers quick access to major cities like Baltimore, Boston, and New York. The Product Safety Specialist is responsible for managing and supporting Food Safety programs. This includes overseeing the factory Integrated Pest Management Program (IPM), auditing compliance with HACCP Pre-Requisite Programs, and providing guidance on Food Safety issues. They also manage waste removal, grounds keeping, and janitorial contractors, while ensuring adherence to factory safety, quality, and environmental work rules. The role involves producing quality products efficiently using Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) processes and tools.

Install, inspect, and service pest monitoring and control devices (rodent traps, rodent bait stations, insect light traps, pheromone traps, and mite traps).
Support heat treatments, factory foggings, railcar fumigations, and crack and crevice spot treatments.
Comply with all pesticide regulatory statues (MSDS's, documentation logs, label directions, etc.) while following all safety procedures (respiratory protection, PPE, and medical surveillance testing).
Provide guidance and direction to other departments regarding sanitation and food safety activities and practices.
Perform routine audits of the facility to evaluate and address product and process contamination (gap audits, glass audits, foreign material audits, GMP audits, etc.).
Maintain accurate pesticide inventories along with Product Safety inventory.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
1+ years of product safety experience in a quality assurance, manufacturing, industrial, military, or related experience.

Other

Must obtain a Pest Applicator's License within the first 90 days of hire/transfer.

The approximate pay range for this position is $59,000 - $87,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
