Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, modifications, troubleshooting, and functional testing of Avionic and Electrical systems on aircraft in accordance with regulatory and company procedures.
Interpret and work from wire schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Perform bonding, resistance, and continuity checks; conduct AC/DC power checks independently.
Execute proper wire installation with attention to spacing, bundling, connector removal/installation, and use of cable management tools such as cable ties and lacing tape.
Terminate wiring using standard techniques, including connector pins/sockets, splices, coaxial connectors, shielded twisted pairs, and shield ferrules (crimp and solder).
Utilize a variety of specialized electrical tools such as crimpers, megohmmeters, multimeters, and bond meters.
Install specialized wiring and components including fiber optics, coaxial cable, and quadrax.
Assist in Air Data Testing with appropriate tools and team members.
Complete scheduled maintenance tasks, document discrepancies, and report issues to team leads.
Follow proper safety procedures and demonstrate First Time Quality (FTQ) practices in all tasks.
Execute tool inventories, use Microsoft Office software to record maintenance data, and maintain compliance with Safety Management System protocols.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain work area cleanliness and execute tasks with minimal supervision. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.
Experience: 3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic (commercial, defense, or relevant trade apprenticeship).
3+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with electrical measuring tools and aircraft maintenance software.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as mission requirements dictate.
Preferred Qualifications: FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant certification.
Knowledge of general aircraft maintenance best practices, including Human Factors, FOD Control, Tool Control, and Health & Safety (COSHH). Your Recruiter Still have questions?
