Lilly is investing over $300 Million to create a new state-of-the-art manufacturing site for Gene Therapy, in Lebanon, Indiana. The brand-new facility will utilize the latest technology for Gene Therapy Manufacturing and Technology. This is an exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to help build and operate a new site. The Lilly Lebanon Advanced Therapeutic site will be built using the latest high-tech equipment, advanced highly integrated and automated manufacturing systems, and have a focus on minimizing the impact to our environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Lilly Lebanon Advanced Therapeutic facility will be digitally enabled from start-up with fully digital and integrated production processes and systems. To support a fully digital enabled plant and flexible design for a scalable pipeline and growth the MES team needs a strong Product Owner to help drive the development team, prioritize requirements by building strong relationships with the business teams, and developing user stories. This role will need to be a partner with various roles to anticipate needs from both technical groups and the business. They will need to work with the stakeholders at the site and in the global M&Q organization to ensure delivery of the solutions prioritized for Lilly Lebanon Advanced Therapeutics at start-up.
How You'll Succeed: The Manufacturing & Quality (MQ) MES Product Owner will play a key role in the Design, Development and Qualification of the MES solution against the Digital Plant Strategy for the Advanced Therapeutics Facility. This role will report to the MQ Leader.
The Product Owner of the MES team is responsible for leading our business (leaders, project sponsors/owners, external suppliers and strategic partners) to innovative solutions and advance the MES Development by managing the backlog for the MES Development team, helping to define the product roadmap with the Architect by understanding key requirements and priorities from the business, being a key stakeholder point of contact and collaborator, providing input into test scripts and reviewing the apps post development.
What You Should Bring (preferred skills) - Scrum Certification and/or Agile Certification
- Experience with creating and maintaining user stories
- Experience with maintain a backlog and working in an agile framework
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Regulatory compliance knowledge and experience (GMP)
- Effective people and team leadership skills
- Ability to manage and contribute to multiple concurrent activities and adapt to changes in priorities.
- Ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate creativity, analytical thinking, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Knowledge of cloud solutions and architecture
- History of promoting safety and maintaining a safe work environment
- Establish a strong site culture based on Lilly values, expectations, and operational excellence standards.
- Demonstrated adherence to compliance for internal and external quality guidance.
- Demonstrated and promoted Operational Excellence
- Effectively encourage knowledge sharing and education
- Evaluate and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to solve problems and work through manufacturing situations. Have experience serving as an escalation contact with vendor(s)
What Your Primary Responsibilities Will Be: - Collaborate with app developers to deliver functional apps within a specific time frame
- Translate business requirements and specifications into user stories and maintain the backlog
- Be a point of contact between the business and the development team to help identify priorities
- Help work across support when issues are identified and determine the impact
- Partner cross functionally locally and globally to deliver GMP based apps for the MES
- Influence the roadmap and provide input to the MES architecture based on business knowledge and expertise
Your Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in IT, Engineering, or related technical field,
- 5+ years of strong experience with DevOPs and Product Ownership.
- Scrum Certification and/or Agile Certification
Additional Preferences: - Previous Agile experience.
Other Information: - Role is Monday through Friday and based on-site. Must be flexible in providing support to accommodate other inputs (production schedules, shutdowns, etc.). Occasional extended hour and / or off-hour work may be required.
- Position will be based out of Lebanon, IN site with ability to travel to other US and global Lilly sites as required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,750 - $145,200
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
