Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Owner in our Powertrain Software Control Group, working within our client's Agile framework. This role involves defining the Product Vision and Backlog for a squad, coordinating the delivery (system design, software implementation, and verification) of significant propulsion features across vehicle programmes. The features include BEV driver modes and predictive functionalities.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Become an expert in the squad's features and serve as the main contact for feature delivery status.
- Act as the interface between the squad and external stakeholders.
- Communicate product goals and manage the backlog effectively.
- Maximize value delivery through iterative working methods, reducing risk.
- Maintain a strong understanding of systems engineering, software development, and verification testing processes.
- Coordinate with other squads or groups to ensure alignment.
- Participate in and facilitate agile ceremonies across teams.
- Respond swiftly to changing customer needs with regular feedback and reprioritization.
- Support the Scrum Master in agile process implementation and adherence.
- Present issues and solutions clearly, providing regular status updates.
- Assist in resolving technical issues within the squad.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Essential:
- Experience with Agile/Scrum product delivery as a Product Owner.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering methodologies and tools.
- Experience delivering engineering or analytical projects.
- Structured approach to solving complex technical issues and identifying improvements.
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Desirable:
- Experience in the Automotive Sector.
- Experience with project management tools like Confluence and JIRA.
- Knowledge of distributed control systems for automotive propulsion.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Dassault TRM or IBM DOORS.
- Experience with system modeling using MBSE tools like CATIA Magic or IBM Rhapsody.
- Experience developing control systems with MATLAB/Simulink.
