Overview

We're seeking a product owner to address the challenges of developing scalable, high-quality reporting templates while maintaining speed and efficiency. This role will:
  • Proactively manage the template lifecycle to ensure the holistic reporting system remains current and relevant.
  • Build and nurture a collaborative community for template development, increasing engagement, innovation, and time to value.
  • Strengthen collaboration with key stakeholders like Reporting and Data Management, Power Users, and Clients.
Key Responsibilities of a Product Owner
  • Backlog Management & Continuous Improvement
    • Translate product vision into detailed feature requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring development aligns with client needs and product strategy.
    • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, balancing client requirements, technical feasibility, and business impact.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to prioritize sprint backlog, leading refinements to break down work and ensuring deliverables are on track and meet quality standards.
    • Define acceptance criteria and conduct end-to-end testing to ensure that certified templates meet client expectations and product quality standards.
    • Define and monitor metrics that reflect the success of templates & reporting system, ensuring that client value is delivered consistently.
    • Stay abreast of industry reporting trends and innovations, integrating relevant updates into the reporting suite to maintain a cutting-edge offering.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to prioritize and deliver new reporting features or template functionality based on user needs and platform goals.
  • Reporting Template Requirements and Template Lifecycle Management
    • Gather report template requirements, working with key stakeholders (e.g., power users, Reporting and Data Management, Activate Operations, etc.) to understand end-user workflows and design mockups for development.
    • Collaborate with template developers to ensure templates are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with long-term product architecture.
    • Oversee alpha and beta client template testing, ensuring feedback informs enhancements before full rollout.
    • Develop a template lifecycle approach, incorporating user feedback, evolving business needs, and technical updates to keep templates relevant and impactful.
  • Template Configuration & Community Collaboration
    • Design a community-driven contribution model for custom templates, allowing internal teams to develop reports while following best practices.
    • Act as the primary liaison with Reporting and Data Management team for template adoption, usage monitoring, and versioning rollouts.
    • Support the Reporting and Data Management team training and onboarding with guidance on building, configuring, and customizing report templates.
    • Address engagement gaps with power users to improve collaboration and enhance product outcomes.
Key Qualifications
  • Passionate advocate of agile product development and MVP testing.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams on technical details.
  • Experience with relevant technical tools and platforms for rapid prototyping and MVP development (e.g., Tableau, API integrations, low-code/no-code platforms).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with client teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to foster community and engage power users effectively.
Pay Transparency

At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. Additional benefits information is provided below.

For our Manager positions, our compensation ranges from $79,000 to $132,000, which is inclusive of a 20% bonus.
