Hybrid: 3-4 days a week in New York, NY

Purpose:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to support and deliver strategic initiatives across business functions, with a focus on Legal & Compliance (L&C). The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to define, track, and execute key projects while ensuring alignment with business objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of L&C functions, project management best practices, and technology solutions that support compliance and legal operations.

The Product Owner/BA will play a key role in driving operational efficiencies, supporting project governance, and ensuring successful system adoption within the L&C space. They will engage with business partners and technical teams to enhance processes, manage risks, and support compliance-related technology initiatives.

This role reports to the Head of Human Capital, Legal & Compliance, & Corporate Services Technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the development and execution of the L&C technology strategy by assisting in defining project scope, gathering requirements, and facilitating user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Partner with L&C teams to provide functional expertise and encourage the adoption of best practices for compliance-related technology solutions.

• Analyze and troubleshoot system and user issues, coordinating resolutions with internal teams and vendors while keeping leadership informed of critical matters.

• Assist with vendor management, ensuring timely decision-making and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

• Identify and mitigate project risks, contributing to contingency planning and ensuring regulatory compliance of systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements, reporting enhancements, and workflow optimizations.

• Help oversee release management to ensure systems remain aligned with evolving industry and regulatory requirements.

• Support process documentation efforts to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure system configuration updates are well-documented.

• Contribute to the development and execution of a multi-year strategic roadmap for L&C technology solutions.

6+ years of experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including business requirements gathering and functional specification development.

• Familiarity with L&C technology platforms such as Communications Surveillance (e.g., Global Relay), Trade Surveillance, Entity Management (e.g., Bridgeway), and KYC/AML solutions (e.g., MaxComply IQ-EQ) is a plus.

• Experience in or exposure to working in a global, highly regulated Financial Services firm.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze challenges, develop solutions, and drive execution.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure technology environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage with senior stakeholders.

• Experience supporting complex projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
