Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Product Marketing lead at The Modern Data Company in Palo Alto, CA, with flexibility for remote work.
- Define and execute the overall product marketing strategy aligned with company objectives and market opportunities
- Lead market research to identify customer needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends in the data management space
- Develop compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions for DataOS that resonate with technical and business audiences
- Create comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product releases and feature launches
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop effective sales enablement tools, competitive intelligence, and objection handling materials
- Partner with demand generation to ensure product messaging is effectively translated into lead generation campaigns
- Work cross-functionally with product management to define product roadmap priorities based on market feedback
- Develop thought leadership content to establish DataOS as the leading data operating system solution
- Manage product marketing budget and track ROI of marketing initiatives
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product marketing experience with at least 3+ years in leadership roles, preferably in B2B SaaS or data management industries
- Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for complex technical products
- Technical Aptitude: Understanding of data platforms, data management, and enterprise software architecture
- Market Analysis: Experience conducting competitive analysis and market research to identify opportunities and gaps
- Cross-functional Leadership: Track record of successfully collaborating with product, sales, and marketing teams
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- Team Management: Experience building and mentoring high-performing marketing teams
- Content Development: Experience creating high-value marketing assets for technical and business audiences
- Measurement: Expertise in tracking and optimizing marketing performance metrics
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
