Product Manager lll Location: Richfield, MN Tell us about your department: Subscriptions Product team within DAT is responsible for building and maintaining complex software systems that caters to the needs of membership subscriptions services including My Total and Protection Plans. Subscriptions is a vital part of business model and its strategy for growing meaningful customer relationships. Our team supports a substantial existing line of contracts and subscriptions and is moving toward a modular, modern, platform to support new opportunities such as recurring paid membership, service contracts, streaming and software subscriptions.
We develop new subscription partnerships and offers that support all sales channels, contract lifecycle, activation, and one-time or recurring billing. Subscriptions within our domain are defined by; software services, streaming, protection plans, and membership has a contract with the customer to provide the subscription and/or manage the recurring billing of the subscription.
Project Description: The Product Manager III is part of the Subscriptions team within the Digital, Analytics and Technology (DAT) org. Our contract management system that processes memberships and protection plans contracts is a legacy system. We are looking for a Product Manager to join us and support in delivering a modern, modularized, scalable Membership capabilities to drive business goals, operational efficiencies, achieve compliance and create seamless omni-channel customer/associate experiences.
This product manager will need to understand and respond to customer needs and wants in addition to being able to convert those into product and/or project requirements.
Position Summary/Job Description: Below are some of the responsibilities this product manager is expected to assume in their position:
- Defining the vision for Membership Modernization and successfully translate that vision into reality.
- Meeting with key stakeholders, listening to and understanding customer feedback, and responding to product suggestions.
- Working directly with customers and partners (internal and external) to fully understand requirements and use that understanding to drive the Subscriptions platform priorities and delivery.
- Lead the product development team in creating the product roadmap.
- Work with a cross-functional team to launch product feature deliverables.
- Remain abreast of the latest industry trends and technology.
- Drive a culture of innovation and Build, Measure, Learn cycle in the team.
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets Below are the qualifications expected of a product manager:
- A bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field; MBA preferred
- A minimum of 5 years experience in product management or a related field
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions
- High level of comfort with technology and its development
- Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
- Excellent documentation skills along with in-depth knowledge of product strategy
- Experience creating detailed reports and presentations to senior executives and key stakeholders
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A track record of successfully making and keeping commitments
