Position Overview:

We're seeking an experienced Product Manager, Data & Analytics to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of data products that solve complex business challenges for our clients. You will work at the intersection of business strategy, data science, and technology to create meaningful solutions that deliver measurable value.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end development lifecycle of data products, from concept and design to implementation and optimization
  • Partner with clients in the energy sector to understand their business challenges and translate them into data product requirements
  • Develop product roadmaps and prioritize features based on client needs and strategic goals
  • Manage product backlogs using Jira to ensure transparent and efficient delivery of features
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives
  • Create technical specifications for development teams to execute against
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, analysts, and UX designers
  • Facilitate workshops and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards that communicate insights effectively
  • Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure quality control throughout development
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success
  • Ensure data quality and governance standards are maintained throughout product development
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data analytics and visualization, particularly in the energy sector

Qualifications:


Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, consulting, or data analytics roles
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering data products or analytics solutions
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, modeling, and visualization principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Proficiency in agile methodology and project management techniques
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking
  • Proficiency with Jira for backlog management and sprint planning
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred

  • Professional certifications (PMP, Agile, Scrum, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI and the broader Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services and cloud architecture
  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and applications
  • Background in management consulting or client-facing roles

Work Location

This position requires onsite presence at client locations and/or our San Francisco office up to 3 days per week. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the San Francisco Bay Area. This position is hybrid (partial remote/partial onsite) and is not eligible for full remote work.

Compensation

As required by California law, the base salary range for this position in San Francisco is $105,000 to $165,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors.
