Product Manager with a strong focus on
Kubernetes to help guide our products that are at the heart of the cloud-native ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of container orchestration and drive innovative Kubernetes-based solutions that deliver real-world impact for our customers.
Role & Responsibilities: -
- Define and lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Kubernetes-based solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business objectives.
- Drive the development and evolution of Kubernetes products, ensuring they meet the needs of developers, DevOps teams, and organizations adopting cloud-native technologies.
- Research and stay informed on Kubernetes-related trends, updates, and innovations to continuously improve the product offering.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and technical teams to develop, implement, and launch Kubernetes-related features and improvements.
- Partner with the sales and marketing teams to create effective go-to-market strategies, providing necessary product information and positioning.
- Act as the key liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of product goals and progress.
- Oversee the integration of Kubernetes with other critical technologies in the cloud-native ecosystem, such as container runtimes, monitoring, CI/CD tools, and service meshes.
- Ensure that Kubernetes-based products are scalable, secure, and optimized for use across a variety of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.).
- Engage with customers, both directly and through customer-facing teams, to gather feedback and identify pain points and feature requests related to Kubernetes.
- Use customer insights to inform product direction, ensuring that new features and
- Lead the product lifecycle from idea through to execution, ensuring that timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.
- Create and manage product backlogs, write user stories, define product requirements, and ensure smooth coordination with engineering and design teams.
- Track product performance, monitor KPIs, and analyze feedback to iterate and improve on product offerings.
- Advocate for Kubernetes best practices across product development and ensure that the products adhere to the latest security and compliance standards.
- Work with the security team to ensure that Kubernetes deployments are secure, resilient, and meet the needs of enterprise customers.
- Represent Company Name as an expert in the Kubernetes ecosystem, speaking at conferences, webinars, and writing blog posts to share insights and showcase product capabilities.
- Build strong relationships with the Kubernetes community and open-source contributors, helping to influence the direction of Kubernetes-related technologies.
Skills: -
- 8+ years of product management experience in the cloud-native space, with a focus on Kubernetes or container orchestration.
- Proven experience with Kubernetes architecture, operations, and ecosystem tools.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-native solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with the capacity to balance customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- Experience writing user stories, managing product backlogs, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
- Ability to prioritize features and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, container orchestration, and related cloud-native technologies (e.g., Helm, Prometheus, Istio, etc.).
- Familiarity with container runtimes (Docker, containerd) and orchestration solutions.
- Experience with scaling Kubernetes clusters, multi-cloud environments, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
