Description

The Product Manager is responsible for all end-to-end tasks in bringing products to market. These tasks include working with the RRUSA team from ideation to delivery, communication with supply chain, management of product information for the customer, complete market analysis and product expertise, defining, creating and reviewing product specifications and alongside product engineer, developing and adhering to price targets, price negotiation and calculation, margin analysis, developing packaging and merchandising to protect products and drive sales, tracking projects to ensure on-time deliveries to the customer, and defining white space opportunity within the market. Responsibilities also include internal team members training and product support training.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
  • The position is the cornerstone in developing and delivering new product programs within specified quality and price targets for product lines
  • Leads project management activities with existing and new product development projects, communicate changes and progress.
  • Manage multiple product categories at one time
  • Ability to perform and/or direct the following tasks: Competitive analysis, product ideation, project management, pricing recommendations, sample review
  • Participates in budgeting process as required
  • Develop and implement annual pricing strategies for each product to meet pricing targets while insuring market competitiveness
  • Optimize product success across each stage of the product life cycle by identifying under-performing areas and creating plans for improvement.
  • Drive success for the feature/ product post roll-out;
  • Maintain line logic that will result in the product line meeting targets for simplicity and business growth using market feedback along with sales and production data.
  • Define the business case as well as technical specifications for new products and features.
  • Serve the various product needs as identified by internal or external stake holders.
  • Lead key meetings as necessary.
  • Lead the cross functional teams as it relates to our ability to deliver quality products through improved procedures, relationships and communication
  • Coordinate with marketing to develop and execute go-to market strategies and communication plans
  • Guide and work closely with engineering teams throughout the development process to verify all products comply with product SOW's and specifications.
  • Must complete projects within specified timelines, ability to create Timing and Action calendars to stay organized and on time.
  • Works closely with Customer Service in reviewing formal complaints and assists with resolutions.
  • Participates, when possible, in trade shows, end-user presentations, and other similar events by presenting assigned product lines
  • Comply with the various SOX controls (i.e. as applicable to the PdM role).

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years of product management experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
