The Interiors Group Product Line Strategy team is seeking a driven, motivated and detail-oriented
Product Line Specialist to join its growing product team. This entry-level role is an excellent opportunity for an individual to launch their product management career and gain broad, cross-functional exposure to teams such as product, procurement, marketing, and sales across the Healthcare, Hospitality, and Education markets.
The
Product Line Specialist will own critical administrative processes that support the Interiors Groups Business Unit product line, including product sampling and data management. The
Product Line Specialist will also serve as a key point of contact for product-related inquiries. They will liaise between the product and procurement teams, Sales Consultants, Sales Support, and the Estimating teams.
Key responsibilities include: Administrative Product & Sampling Management: - Manage and streamline the administrative process for product sampling, including user logins, training, and assortment management within relevant platforms (e.g., Thoroughbred logins).
- Coordinate with purchasing to plan and maintain appropriate sample inventory levels to meet sales team needs.
- Oversee administrative functions related to product testing, including sample submission to labs, completing necessary documentation, tracking progress, and disseminating results.
Sales Enablement & Product Support: - Serve as the primary point of contact, providing timely and accurate product recommendations and answers to inquiries from the sales team, sales support, Estimating team, and other internal stakeholders to enable effective sales interactions.
- Assist in value engineering for custom product requests, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
Data Entry & Product Information Maintenance: - Accurately process Product Request Forms and manage data entry for new product data numbers creating and testing.
- Assist in the setup of new item numbers and maintain accurate product data within relevant systems.
Marketing & Launch Support: - Collaborate with the marketing team to provide product information and support for the development of sales and marketing materials for new product launches.
- Support the Director of Sales Strategy and Sales Enablement on new product launch initiatives as needed.
Project-Based Learning & Development: - Undertake special projects to expand product knowledge and develop product management skills. Potential projects may include:
- Stock product line extensions (under guidance).
- Development of product resource documentation and sales tools.
- Market research or competitive analysis tasks.
Qualifications include: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Supply Chain, Fashion Merchandising, or Interior Design required. Relevant experience or coursework in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or related fields, preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Eagerness to learn about product management and the Healthcare, Hospitality and Education markets.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and a customer-service oriented approach.
- Familiarity with CRM or product data management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Power BI) is a plus.
