About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Director to lead and drive the development, strategy, and performance of our Lighting, Electrical, and Tools product portfolio. This role is pivotal in delivering market-leading solutions, optimizing product lifecycle management, and ensuring our products meet customer needs and exceed market expectations.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, an innovative mindset, and a proven ability to collaborate across teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for the Lighting, Electrical, and Tools categories, aligning with the company's overall business goals.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for growth.
- Drive portfolio optimization by identifying gaps, streamlining offerings, and introducing innovative solutions.
Product Development
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and design teams to develop and launch high-quality, customer-centric products.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept and development to commercialization and sunset.
- Champion new product innovation (NPI) initiatives and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches, promotions, and market positioning.
- Gather and incorporate customer and sales team feedback into product development and improvement initiatives.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners to optimize quality, cost, and delivery.
Performance Management
- Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, including revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on portfolio performance and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in product management or a related role, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in the lighting, electrical, or tools industry is strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and new product development processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven leadership and team-building capabilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
- Proficiency in product management tools and methodologies (eg, Agile, Stage-Gate, etc.).

Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $140,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include performance-based bonuses, comprehensive health insurance, and opportunities for professional development.
