Our company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Product Development Manager to join our team. As a leader in the food manufacturing industry, we are looking for someone who can bring innovative ideas and strategies to improve our current product line and develop new products that meet market demands. This role is crucial to our company's success and growth, providing an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
As a Food and Beverage Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Leading and managing the entire product development process from concept to commercialization.
2. Collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, engineering, and manufacturing to develop and implement product strategies.
3. Conducting market research to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
4. Developing and maintaining a product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic objectives.
5. Planning and managing the product life cycle, including the introduction of new products and the discontinuation of outdated ones.
6. Ensuring product compliance with industry standards and regulations.
7. Developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for product launches.
8. Managing and mentoring a team of product developers.
9. Monitoring and analyzing product performance and customer feedback to make necessary improvements.
10. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop effective promotional strategies.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, in the food industry. Candy, Food or Beverage Required.
2. Proven experience in managing the entire product development process, from concept to commercialization.
3. Strong knowledge of marketing strategies and techniques.
4. Exceptional leadership and project management skills.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Proficiency in using product management software and tools.
9. A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or an MBA will be an added advantage.
10. Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
