Russell Tobin is supporting a world-class organization that has an opening for "Product Development Engineer-Medical Device"
This role requires a proactive individual who can operate independently, lead cross-functional deliverables, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure the smooth execution of complex engineering projects. Experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned engineering and product data projects
- Coordinate deliverables across core and extended cross-functional teams (data management, procurement, sourcing, manufacturing, quality engineering)
- Maintain and manage Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring integration with ERP systems
- Collaborate with internal teams on material and supplier coding, data accuracy, and system updates
- Ensure timely project execution, tracking progress, reporting issues, and aligning with stakeholders
- Support engineering activities related to manufacturing or new product development workflows
- Use ERP tools such as SAP and Oracle to execute tasks and support operational processes
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry
- Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and how they interact with product data and BOMs
- Experience working in manufacturing environments or on new product development initiatives
Additional Information:
Location: San Antonio, TX (Hybrid with one day onsite)
Duration: 12 months with possible conversion
Pay Range: $30/hr. to $35/hr. on W2
