Our Fort Mill, SC location is seeking a Product Development Engineer - R&D PLT to join our team. Are you ready to shape the future with us? THE POSITION Product Development Engineer - R&D PLT, Continental Tire The Americas, LLC, Fort Mill, SC, multiple openings: Develop new and maintain existing PLT tire lines (Conti & exclusive brands) for Original Equipment (OE) and Replacement markets, according to targets for performance, quality, timing, and cost. Develop and introduce new tire sizes for existing tire lines. Translate market and customer expectations into technical requirement books for the product line development. Support the marketing and sales organization with new product introductions (e.g., launch events, technical documentation). Support market performance feedback and customer reviews. Perform interface management for benchmark testing activities. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%. Full time employment, Monday Friday, 40 hours per week. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in any Engineering or Natural Sciences field, plus 2 years of related work experience in the tire industry. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Tire manufacturing; Tire product development and lifecycle management; Working in a cross-functional team(s) involved in technical problem solving; Project management; and Original Equipment (OE) or Replacement market(s) in the automotive industry. Domestic and international travel required up to 10%. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
