Our client a manufacturer and designer of customizable casework and furniture for educational environments, commercial spaces, fitness centers, and industrial businesses is seeking to hire a Product Design Engineer to join our team, in Thorp, WI. In this role you will perform duties to create and modify models in an end-to-end enterprise manufacturing system and coordinate with Project Management, Design, and Drafting team members to ensure product specifications and customer expectations are met. This is a direct hire (full-time) position that has a generous salary, full benefits, and a flexible work schedule of 7am-4pm Monday-Friday with overtime available if you would like it. We are seeking to hire multiple Product Design Engineers and will consider recent college graduates to industry veterans with experience designing in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor or other similar programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and program cabinet models and/or tops in multiple software packages (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, IMOS).
- Update engineering system databases, incorporating product design changes to ensure processes meet product and quality specifications.
- Create and modify programs for nested and point to point CNC machines utilizing multiple software packages.
- Ensure cabinet components and tops, hardware, and program databases that support product programming and design are updated with current and accurate information.
- Test new cabinet configurations to ensure programming is functioning properly and quality specifications are met.
- Assign feature/option sets to product configurations.
- Work with Project Managers, Designers, and Drafters to ensure cabinet designs meet company standards and satisfy customer requirements.
- Collaborate with production staff to investigate non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions to eliminate future occurrences.
- Provide technical guidance to other areas.
- Prioritize and organize work ensuring that tasks are successfully completed within defined timeframes and meet predetermined deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. We will consider professional experience in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or Inventor.
- Experience with IMOS software is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes related to casework, cabinetry, or millwork.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.?

- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations pertaining to casework and millwork.
