Seeking a Product Design Engineer to develop and support industrial cooling and heating equipment through innovative design and technical collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop products for industrial process cooling/heating industry
- Coordinate job releases by providing drawings/support to production
- Build bill of materials for product/job releases
- Provide shop support for new product development and maintenance
- Develop testing plans
- Interface directly with customers to ensure performance, quality, appearance standards are met
- Implement cost reduction and product improvements continuously
- Provide technical support for Sales, Purchasing, Service departments
- Collaborate with vendors, engineering/manufacturing groups
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in design of industrial equipment or durable goods
- Interest in refrigeration, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, electrical systems, and controls
- Experience with component layout, sheet metal design, welding design, piping design
- Experience with electromechanical devices
- Proficient in assembly drawings and electrical/mechanical schematics
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar modeling software
- Proficient with computers and ERP business software
