SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE Pure Storage is seeking a Product Configuration Manager (PCM) starting Mid-October. In this role you will be part of a highly collaborative and energetic team responsible for enabling products and services in Pure's configuration/quoting platform. You will report to the Director of the Product Data Management team. You will partner with the business and act as a trusted advisor/consultant to help deliver end-to-end solutions to our sales force and partners. Forming strong partnerships with organizations across the Enterprise such as Product Management, Manufacturing Operations and Sales is critical. You will have a demonstrated track record of strategic leadership and providing innovative approaches to problem solving, while maintaining a detail-oriented outlook. Ability to understand the current IT environment, with an emphasis on the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) approach product ownership role, while possessing a depth of product knowledge that will allow you to define solutions fitting into Pure's manufacturing and sales processes. A key factor for your success in this role will be to work collaboratively with IT and business teams as a Product Configuration Manager.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE - Solid understanding of Quote to Invoice business processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Effective leadership skills needed to manage cross-functional teams successfully.
- Hands on experience with Agile, Salesforce, SAP, and/or Oracle bill of material, including a strong background in understanding complex product structures.
- Ability to be successful in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Broad understanding of Pure's products and services technologies highly desired.
- Practical work experience with Agile methodologies.
- Working knowledge of SaaS principles: Quoting, Subscription Management, Billing and Revenue Recognition.
- Configure the Marketing SKUs with HW BOMs & SW granularity.
- Manage SKU level life cycle: create new SKUs prior to pilot, release them to production, and manage throughout is lifecycle to EOL.
- Set up SKU level BOMs based on manufacturing strategy such as CTO, PTO, BTO, FRU, etc.
- Understand basic knowledge of software license at the SKU level.
- Work effectively with Staff to VP level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
- Play a significant role in assigned scrum teams including sprint execution, testing, and review & release.
- Operate and drive results and set priorities independently, be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert
- Demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.
Requirements: - 10+ years of experience with Bachelor of Arts or Science degree (or equivalent experience)
- Oracle Cloud CPQ or SAP equivalent experience is a plus
- Must be located within commutable distance to our office in Santa Clara and willing to work on a hybrid-basis
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $199,000- $299,000.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
