Summary of Position:

The Product Associate is responsible for supporting and ensuring continued growth of products and therefore the

profitability of MBC Companies by maintaining all up-to-date information on products across all software platforms. This

role provides expertise in relaying product information to all stakeholders professionally and timely.

Essential Functions:

A. Product Information Handling

1. Maintain all product data including but not limited to nutrition information, case size, pallet configuration, cost,

product weight, allergens, grain calculation, Smart Snack calculations, product formulation statements, and application

in our software program and on the website.

2. Maintain updated product information for all K12/Foodservice products in Trace Gains from suppliers including

nutritional information, product specifications, product handling instructions, and any product claims like Kosher

certificate, etc.

3. Ensure all K12/Foodservice customer requests for product information in Trace Gains are completed promptly.

4. Maintain all product information in other customer software programs as necessary.

5. Ensures that all customer requests for product information, outside of any software program, are answered promptly.

6. Assist in ensuring compliance with all federal guidelines, regulations, and best practices for child nutrition programs.

B. Miscellaneous Tasks

1. Assists MBC Companies as necessary to support product and brand growth.

2. Works with the Product Operations team to communicate effectively concerning all product information internally and

externally.

3. Support the Product Operations team with any education and training opportunities as needed.

4. Crosstrain to support the Product Operations team in the absence of a team member as needed.

5. Support the Office Administrator by filling in for these responsibilities when needed.

Education and Experience: Please list the education and experience required for this position, such as:

1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

2. Must have excellent computer skills.

3. Customer service experience preferred.

4. School nutrition and/or food manufacturing experience preferred.

5. Computer skills: Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, creating and editing PDFs. Quick to learn new

communication platforms and ability to learn new software.

Competencies:

1. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

2. Strong attention to detail.

3. Ability to handle and record proprietary detailed information.

4. Excellent prioritization skills especially under pressure.

5. Personal effectiveness and credibility.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as

computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role, sitting for long periods of time; some walking and bending is required. May require lifting

boxes of up to 40 lbs. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the employee

to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals

Expected Work Hours:

This is a full-time position. The employee must be available during "core" business hours between 8:30-5:00 pm, Monday

through Friday.

Travel:

Might need to travel up to 5% of the time.
