Job Summary: As a Part Time Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for sorting, displaying, and replenishing fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. Your role will also involve maintaining the overall environment of the department by providing assistance to Members through product knowledge and customer service, ensuring that all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: - Assist Members in the produce department, answering questions and recommending products
- Inspect, rotate, and store produce upon delivery
- Rotate produce on the sales floor to ensure optimal freshness and variety
- Maintain the produce reserve stock area and organize storage space
- Dispose of damaged, spoiled, and/or expired products according to guidelines
- Clean and sanitize produce equipment, display fixtures, and areas regularly
- Generate signage for produce goods and perform price check functions
Qualifications: - Work experience in a produce department preferred
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetables preferred, including seasonal items
- At least 18 years of age
