Role Summary
The ProDealer Sales Account Relationship Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining solid business relationships for the purpose of driving company growth and profitability. Responsible for identifying and executing strategies for landing new business and retaining existing business, supporting customer relationships, and for selling activities related to generating sales and reaching defined goals within an assigned territory(ies) and/or account(s). Provides the communication link between the customer, outside sales and the company, such that the customer receives full benefit of Pella's products and services. Visits accounts to cement and manage relationships, provide trainings, and increase market share.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ownership of an assigned territory(ies) and/or account(s) individually, including use of independent judgment in creating a business plan.
- Responsible for sales solicitation through a required number of outbound calls, quoting assistance, quote follow up, large job assistance/comparison bids, periodic field travel, product knowledge training, event marketing and vendor show activities as needed.
- Proactively conduct virtual and field training classes demonstrating knowledge in selling processes, product features/benefits and systems.
- This position is a key communication link between the company and the customer. As such, attentiveness to detail is paramount along with elevated people skills in order to maximize customer satisfaction and the company's performance efficiencies.
- This position requires a self-starter who works effectively and productively with minimal supervision and is capable of exercising discretion to make independent decisions vital to managing the customer relationship.
- This position will involve research activities and market analysis. The associate will be relied upon to provide strategies based on market knowledge and strategic assessments to the corporation of the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Works closely with many different departments to ensure proper communication is relayed to customers.
- Accurately read, interpret and takeoff blueprints in order to assist customers in acquiring and growing their new construction builder business.
- Knowledge of basic residential and commercial construction as well as general window and door product understanding. Educate and establish yourself as a fenestrations expert for assigned accounts and customers, including a depth of knowledge of the competitive landscape.
- Needs to have a complete knowledge of all current products manufactured by Pella Corporation. Needs to have ready access to current and detailed specifications in order to communicate effectively with sales representatives and customers. Maintains detailed, accurate records of all communications and transactions with customers so that there is an accurate audit trail for future use.
- Travel requirements of around 10% for meetings and market visits.

Education and/or Experience
Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively analyze and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, clients or employees of the organization. Ability to make independent decisions to develop and further strategic business initiatives.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, margins, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to utilize judgment to solve problems.
Computer Skills
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SYMIX, Oracle, M20, PQM, Microsoft Teams, and SalesForce CRM.
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations
Driver's License.
