The Procurement Systems Support Specialist is responsible for support for all procurement systems, understanding the business processes, and how those processes are automated within these applications. Position will support incident and problem resolution when business processes are impacted or involved. They will be responsible for providing technical assistance with the business and suppliers in an efficient and effective manner. Technical assistance consists of troubleshooting and documenting system issues, examine processes to identify areas for improvement, develop solutions with procurement applications and processes, as well as assisting in the overall upkeep and training of the procurement systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Tracks, troubleshoots and resolves procurement system issues following established guidelines and procedures, escalates technical issues to the appropriate level
- Recommends improvements in workflow, procedures, and documentation as it relates to the database; implements improvements as approved
- Assists end-users with technical issues, systems settings, and provides guidance on system use
- Corrects and documents system/integration errors
- Assists user groups with dashboard set-up and use
- Test and implement system enhancements
- Performs technical analysis and supports operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out of solutions and updates for Procurement systems
- Serves as a team member responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of mission critical production environment
- Maintains content and configurations of eProcurement systems
- Serves as the point of contact for internal and external users including university staff and suppliers
- Researching, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting data.
- Prepares and distributes assigned reporting

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Minimum Qualifications Overall - Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative and be responsive to the needs of multiple end users

- Experience with working in financial applications, ERPs, and procurement systems is required

Minimum Qualifications Level I - Associates degree in Information Technology or related field
- Two to four years of relevant work experience in the area of Purchasing, Finance, Information Technology, or a similar job function(s)
Minimum Qualifications Level II - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a STEM related field; significant additional experience may substitute
- Five to seven years of relevant work experience
Minimum Qualifications Level III - Master's degree in computer science or a STEM related field; significant additional experience may substitute
- Six or more years of professional experience in a procurement environment, including managing Procurement strategy and leading procurement projects.
- Advanced Analytical skills and project management knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced technical knowledge of XML and JSON for data integration.
- Lean or Six Sigma Experience
- Experience with Jaggaer's source-to-pay software solutions.
- Experience with Ellucian's Banner ERP system.
- Experience with Oracle 12c database development and maintenance.
- Fluent in Spanish or American Sign Language
