The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely input of information into the procurement/accounting system. The Procurement Specialist is the direct point of contact for responses to Tribal issued RFPs and will maintain records of same and summarize relevant information for the Chief Finance Officer to review. The Procurement Specialist will also develop and work with new hires with respect to purchasing requirements and processes.
Essential Duties: - Maintain the procurement system in Abila MIP by using computerized data entry.
- Ensure contracts are fully executed while adhering to the Snoqualmie Tribe's Finance Policy.
- Create and track purchase orders pertaining to contracts.
- Ensure that all authorized buyers for the Tribe are trained and knowledgeable of all policies and procedures relating to Procurement.
- Receive, review and summarize RFP responses.
- Complete purchases with outside vendors for day-to-day operations and special events.
- Review purchase requests for adherence with policies and issue purchase orders.
- Maintain documentation for all purchases made on the Tribe's procurement credit card(s) for monthly reconciliation purposes.
- Organize and maintain contract files.

Requirements
- Proficient skills in 10-key, Microsoft Office, filing and general administrative functions.

Education & Experience: Education Required:
- Associate's degree in accounting, or a closely related field; or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may substitute for degree requirement.
Experience:
- Two (2) years of accounting or finance office experience preferred, including work with contracts and/or purchasing.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Must have and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's license.
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation.
- Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening.

Additional Information - Hourly, compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $31.56 per hour.
