We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our Procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of how to use market data to manage trends, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. This position will be based at our headquarters in Wichita, KS and offer a hybrid work schedule (2 days remote, 3 days in office).

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with business partners to cultivate and sustain a strategic vision that strengthens our competitive edge, and lead discussions to refine contracting and purchasing strategies while reducing supply chain risks.
  • Create knowledge processes to enhance transparency and competitive positioning for managed categories, aligning supplier incentives with business objectives to ensure clear ownership of deliverables between KAES and counterparties.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with other KAES groups and suppliers to support regular performance assessments, resolve issues, anticipate future needs, and facilitate continuous vendor feedback and relationship building.
  • Function as the subject matter expert in the contracted services category and provide support for sourcing strategies, market trends, selection criteria, bid tabulation analysis, and evaluations.
  • Conduct contract and agreement negotiations with a solid grasp of legal terms and alternative language, while collaborating with legal, operations, and counterparties to fulfill the business's objectives and requirements.
  • Transform the role and our business through the challenge process, market discovery, as well as the use of tools and technology
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in category management, procurement, supply chain, contracts, operations, reliability or a related role.
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Experience in utilizing data analysis and development tools to solve problems
  • Experience collaborating in a fast-paced environment, successfully partnering with both internal and external customers.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, supply chain, or a related field.
