About the role Kerry Inc. seeks Procurement Category Manager Logistics at its facility located at 3400 Millington Rd, Beloit WI 53511. Key responsibilities 3% Lead sourcing activities related to all modes of transportation in the North America region. 5% Manage, prepare, lead and issue RFPS/BIDS for contract renewals and new business. 3% Manage and direct it integration of transportation and logistics sourcing with COUPA CSO Electronic sourcing, e2open transportation management system, sap and other company supported systems. 3% Manage logistics procurement process for all current Kerry production locations, distribution centers, new locations, acquisitions, and mergers. 3% Manage all technology integrations with transportation and logistics providers and ability to learn/implement new emerging technologies in supply chain. 12% Manage and direct supply chain mode managers with pricing, capacity, routing guides and all levels of escalated operational support for automated freight tendering. 3% manage all procurement processes for automated freight payments system in e2open (web settle module) TMS system. 3% Manage and direct 3rd party technology platform e2open and logistics analyst for technical and operational requirements. 2% Prepare and manage all procurement budget requirements for $40-50 million category spend. 8% Manage and lead savings projects for $3-$10 million of spend annually. 3% Review requirements from internal and external customers to determine requirements and support ongoing changes in business needs. 3% Analyze market conditions to determine present and future pricing and supply, prepares market summary for finance and business units. 5% Monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements. 6% Select vendors, negotiates pricing and contracts. 5% Support continuous improvement, corrective action, and escalation initiatives with logistics vendors. 1% Review and resolve vendor claims and contracts for conformance to company policy. 3% Recruit and maintain suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct. 10% Negotiate complex requests for materials and services. 5% Work day-to-day with the other functions in the North America region on implementation of category sourcing initiatives. 3% Develop sourcing and implementation strategy consistent with Kerry quality, service, and financial goals. 3% manage pricing and directs mode managers in E2Open TMS, SAP and other information systems to support load tendering process and financial analysis. 5% Prepare and Support contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for accuracy, price, and acceptability of items to specifications. 3% Support AP payment process & related matters. Qualifications and skills This position requires a Masters degree, or foreign equivalent, in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Finance or a related field and 5 years of experience in a Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Information System, Finance or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Utilizing SAP and other operating systems for purchasing, customer order fulfilment and cash collection and vendor payment; (2) Employing TMS (Transportation Management Systems), including EDI and API connectivity; (3) Developing advanced analysis using Excel V-look up pivot tables and database integration; and (4) Building applications off of a E2OpenTMS-Transportation Management Systems. Up to 10-20% of domestic travel is required for visiting production plant locations, distribution centers, trade conferences and vendor locations.
