Role Purpose Statement

As a Procurement Business Analyst, you'll be the engine behind procurement excellence-leveraging data to unlock value, streamline operations, and fuel strategic sourcing.
In this role, you'll design and deliver dynamic dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, and SAP, enabling real-time, data-driven decision-making across the business. You'll dive deep into procurement data to uncover opportunities, optimize workflows, and ensure data integrity across systems.
Working cross-functionally with chefs, kitchens, procurement, finance, and IT, you'll map out data flows, troubleshoot inefficiencies, and champion smart, cost-effective solutions. Your insights will directly influence purchasing strategies, helping the business scale with precision and agility.

Main Accountabilities


• Reporting & Analysis

Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data models in Excel and Power BI to support procurement decisions.
Analyse raw material data (food and equipment) to identify sourcing opportunities, duplicates, and incorrect records.

• Data Management

Act as a gatekeeper for data integrity, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy of procurement-related datasets.
Work closely with chefs, kitchens, and procurement teams to understand data needs and translate them into actionable insights.

• Process Improvement

Engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather data requirements, and map current data flows.
Provide recommendations on process improvements, and develop tools (e.g. Excel templates, macros and queries) to improve existing workflows.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Skills

  • Analytical Expertise: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights to enhance procurement decisions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, P2P tools) to develop reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey insights and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including chefs, procurement, finance, and IT.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, employing process mapping and improvement methodologies to drive efficiencies.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on data accuracy and integrity, with a keen ability to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of procurement best practices, particularly within the airline catering industry, to identify sourcing opportunities and optimize supplier relationships.

Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in business intelligence.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerBI proficiency.
  • Strong data management and process optimization skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in procurement and / or food procurement.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, Alteryx or similar software.
