POSITION OPPORTUNITY The Process Planner is responsible for creating routine travelers in accordance with cleaning processes and procedures designed to ensure attainment of cleanliness levels and other criteria for customer's hardware and components. This position will find success by creating a majority of travelers in 24-hour period, while ensuring the most efficient and efficacious results.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities - Create Travels for routine requirements, ensuring that they meet customers specifications, Astro Pak QMS and AS9100 requirements
- Enter data using computer software to generate travelers, certs and labels with 100% accuracy
- Read and understand Astro Pak process documents and customer specifications
- Perform accurate mathematical calculations for surface area, as well as cleanliness verification sampling volume and plans
- Develop traveler templates with the support of Process Engineers
- Resolve discrepancies between customer PO and specification and/or AS9100 requirements
- Support production planning, scheduling, and capacity analysis
- Support data entry for receiving, estimating, and other departments
- All other responsibilities assigned by Lead or Manager
- Analyze and implement projects subject to the U.S. Export Control Laws which include, but are not limited to, 22 Code of Federal Regulations(F.R.) Subchapter M, U.S. Department of Energy regulations found in 10 C.F.R. Part 10, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations found in 10 C.F.R. Part 110 and the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Administration Regulations found in 15 C.F.R. Part 730 et seq.
Qualifications Education/Training/Certifications: Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or a minimum 2 years of job related experience.
Overtime: Willing and able to work overtime, including holidays, weekends, and on short notice call in as required. 10-20% overtime to be expected.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to read and understand work instructions from Production Management System (ICMS), documents, correspondence and memos.
- Effective communication skills which include verbal and written in English
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions. Should be able to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Moderate computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to comply with federally mandated requirements of the U.S. Export Control Laws which include, but are not limited to, 22 Code of Federal Regulations (F.R.) Subchapter M, U.S. Department of Energy regulations found in 10 C.F.R.Part 10, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations found in 10 C.F.R.
