Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented Process Improvement Engineer with a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt to lead enterprise-wide process optimization initiatives. This individual will play a key role in identifying inefficiencies, analyzing root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions that drive operational excellence. Leveraging deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies and value engineering, the Process Improvement Engineer will help reduce costs, enhance productivity, and elevate overall organizational performance in support of our strategic mission. Key Responsibilities: Value Engineering: Evaluate products, processes, and systems to determine cost-effective strategies while maintaining or enhancing quality, performance, and reliability. Conduct value analysis workshops and brainstorming sessions with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization. Identify alternative materials, technologies, and methods that enhance efficiency, reduce production costs, and shorten project schedules without compromising quality standards. Work closely with product design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to propose innovative solutions that deliver maximum value to customers and stakeholders. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations for value optimization projects to senior leadership. Lean Six Sigma Methodologies: Act as a champion for Lean Six Sigma principles across the organization, identifying and eliminating process inefficiencies and reducing operational waste. Lead DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) and DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) projects to address critical challenges and improve key processes. Facilitate Kaizen events, gemba walks, and value stream mapping sessions to identify and implement immediate operational improvements. Analyze data using statistical tools such as SPC (Statistical Process Control), hypothesis testing, and regression analysis to identify trends and root causes of process issues. Collaborate with leadership and teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring long-term sustainability of improvement efforts. Provide training and mentorship to colleagues in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, fostering an environment of knowledge-sharing and innovation. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvement outcomes and ensure alignment with mission goals. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective action plans to address operational challenges. Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards in all improvement initiatives. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to process optimization. Qualifications: Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Active Secret Clearance preferred; candidates must be U.S. citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in process improvement, value engineering, and Lean Six Sigma. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in statistical and analytical tools. Excellent communication and leadership abilities to drive change across teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques is a plus.
