Process Engineering Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in designing and optimizing liquid processing equipment for the food and beverage industry. This role requires expertise in liquid blenders, syrup and water lines, P&ID development, CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, sanitary tubing, piping, vatting, tanks, and valves. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, training and mentoring engineers, and ensuring that all designs meet industry standards for safety, efficiency, and sanitary compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of process engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee the design and development of liquid processing systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications.
• Develop and review P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) to optimize system performance.
• Implement and improve CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems for efficient and hygienic operation.
• Work closely with manufacturing, sales, and project management teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Conduct training sessions for engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide innovative processing solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in liquid processing technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or related field).
• 8 years of experience in process engineering within the food and beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of liquid processing equipment, sanitary tubing, valves, piping, and CIP systems.
• Experience leading engineering teams, with a proven ability to train and mentor engineers.
• Proficiency in P&ID development, process design, and equipment selection.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot system inefficiencies.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with 3D CAD software and process simulation tools.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as 3-A Sanitary Standards, FDA, and USDA regulations.
• Experience in automation and control systems for liquid processing.
• Prior Engineering Management experience
