As the Process Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our operations. We're looking for a forward-thinking problem solver to research, design, and optimize systems using mechanical and electrical engineering principles. You'll bring your ideas to life directly on the production floor, identifying inefficiencies and developing smart, strategic solutions. As a key driver of our automation initiatives, you'll also act as a leader and mentor, guiding continuous improvement across the organization.

What is the ideal profile for this position?

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role; automation experience is a strong asset.
Solid knowledge of electrical standards, laws, and regulations; experience in project management, business case creation, and feasibility studies.
Proficient with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other engineering tools; exposure to POC (proof of concept), telemetry systems, ERP (Navision), and Omron automation is considered an asset.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret technical documents and perform basic calculations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated leadership, and ability to motivate teams in a collaborative environment.
Willingness and ability to travel (1-2 times per year), both locally and internationally, by car and airplane.

As a Process Engineer, what will your responsibilities be?

Lead and manage automation integration projects, incorporating technologies such as drive motor controllers, sensors, telemetry, and robotics (Omron, ABB, Festo, Fanuc, Siemens).
Act as a technical expert and advisor in automation, control systems, and programming for building and production equipment (CNC, extrusion lines, thermoforming, robots).
Analyze, centralize, and update electrical plans, automation programs, and component usage to ensure consistency and traceability.
Develop and document process changes, perform simulations and troubleshooting, and implement continuous improvements.
Monitor process metrics, identify areas for improvement, and ensure product quality through established routines and best practices.
Ensure all processes and equipment meet safety and quality standards and contribute to risk reduction initiatives.
Support long-term projects including CSA board certification, and safety and electrical loop validation.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and work with the Quebec Plant to share best practices and drive innovation.
