Senior Process Engineer (9-month contract. Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of capital projects across the site. Your expertise will be instrumental throughout the project lifecycle, including:
- Collaborating closely with the projects department and plant support teams.
- Providing in-depth process engineering expertise during FEED, detailed design, construction, and installation stages.
- Leading the commissioning of projects to ensure design intent is met and production is established safely and effectively.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Degree-level education in Chemical or Process Engineering (BEng or MEng equivalent).
- Chartered Engineer and full Member of the Institute of Chemical Engineers (MIChemE).
- Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in batch processing, particularly in the Specialty Chemicals industry.
- Proven experience leading process engineering for capital projects.
- Familiarity with HSE standards, including Pressure Relief Definition and Design, Basis of Safety definition, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
- Knowledge of Process Risk Assessment systems (e.g., HAZOP) and the ability to prepare relevant documentation.
- Experience in commissioning capital projects on a Top Tier COMAH site.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to control activities effectively.
- Excellent team collaboration skills, with a talent for influencing and gaining support.
- Proficient in problem identification and analysis, with the capability to define and communicate proposals clearly.
