Performance Monitoring and Optimization: o Monitor process control systems to ensure they are operating at peak performance. o Conduct data analysis to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend solutions for process improvements. 3. Project Management: o Lead or participate in control system upgrade projects, including planning, execution, and commissioning. o Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. 4. Safety and Compliance: o Ensure that all control systems meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. o Participate in risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and safety audits. 5. Troubleshooting and Support: o Provide technical support for control system troubleshooting and maintenance. o Train operations and maintenance staff on control system functionalities and best practices. 6. Documentation and Reporting: o Maintain detailed documentation for control systems, including system architecture, logic diagrams, and operational manuals. o Prepare reports on system performance and project progress. Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in process control engineering within a refinery or petrochemical environment.
• Proficiency with DCS, PLC, and APC systems (e.g., Honeywell, Emerson, Yokogawa, or Siemens).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISA, API) and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work in a plant environment and participate in on-call rotations. Preferred Skills:
• Experience with advanced process modeling and simulation tools.
• Knowledge of machine learning or data analytics applications in process control.
• Certifications such as PE (Professional Engineer) or CCST (Certified Control Systems Technician).
