The Process Commissioning Superintendent is a front-line position in the project delivery organization with responsibility & accountability for commissioning related activities. Leads & outlines commissioning operations while ensuring the work is safely performed in conformance to the project objectives & requirements. Reports directly to the ISBL Process Commissioning Manager.


Responsibilities:

  • Principal areas of responsibility are commissioning, testing, and initial operation of process systems, sub-systems, and equipment.
  • Follow all commissioning procedures in accordance with engineering & vendor equipment standards while monitoring process equipment.
  • Coordinate & facilitate activities where selected vendors are required within system job packages.
  • Ensure equipment & systems are prepared for pre-commissioning and commissioning scopes.
  • Assist with B Punch check sheets, RFTO Walk Down Punch, Notice of Energization, SSTCC, & PTN Final Walks.
  • Reviews commissioning supervisors weekly progression reports for work conducted in their areas of responsibility.
  • Follow all SSHS&E procedures, guidelines, including WMS PTW (Permit-to-Work) and LOTO procedures.
  • Assists with Pre & Post ready for start-up (RFSU) and SIMOPS phases in accordance with pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Monitors & assists disciplines with equipment calibrations, procurement, process system valve line-ups, etc as specified in procedures and systems turnover packages.
  • Monitors & assists disciplines including but not limited to N2 purging, hydrocarbon sweeping, orifice plates, LOTO spades, P&ID field checks, equipment inspections, etc.
  • Reviews & red-lines pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures with engineering & management teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, or 10+ years of related process management experience with 15+ years of operations experience in LNG, refinery, petrochemicals, chemical, or power generation industries
  • Strong commitment to the health & safety of everyone with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience with LNG commissioning & daily operations is a plus.
  • Able to provide professional references if required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, work at heights, lift, push, & pull a minimum of 50lbs
  • Ability to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, & standing
  • Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Ability to adapt & safely work in changing weather conditions
