PRN Speech Therapist

Heritage Rehab is seeking a PRN SLP to join our in-house therapy team at our Fairfield (Parkside) location.

Our facility in Fairfield is conveniently located off I-75 and I-275 and is easily accessible from the Cincinnati area. The therapy staff and interdisciplinary team strive to create a comprehensive care plan that is unique to each short-term, outpatient, or long-term patient. The therapy gym is spacious and equipped with all the tools that a therapist needs to provide the most effective treatment interventions. Our dedicated therapy team has a proven track record of getting results.

Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid license to practice in Ohio.

PRIMARY THERAPY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Evaluates and treats communication disorders, including motor speech disorders, language disorders, cognitive language deficits and voice disorders.

2. Provides direct patient services to improve the cognitive, communicative and or swallowing abilities of neurological impaired persons.

3. Evaluates, treats and provides case management for dysphagic patients.

4. Provides documentation to maintain quality of the medical records, as it relates to reimbursement guidelines, accuracy of billing information and facility requirements.

5. Develops and implements treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes and adheres to professional standards of practice.

6. Follows administrative policies and procedures related to emergency procedures, infection control and safety.

7. Coordinates and or participates in training programs for facility staff, residents, families and rehabilitation staff.

8. Initiates new program development with focus on functional outcomes to improve the quality of life of the people residing in the facility.

9. Participates in continuous quality improvement activities.

10. Performs other related duties as required.

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
