LHH is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our reputable client's dynamic legal team in Chicago, IL on a long-term contract basis. There could be an opportunity for permanent conversion. This roleoffers the opportunity to advance your career within a full-service, International Law Firm.

What You'll Do:
  • Generate, prepare, and organize documentation for the Private Credit practice area to support in the handling of US and cross-border financings.
  • Create, edit, and compile large, complex documents, correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents using MS Word. Proofread all documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Answer and process incoming calls, set up conference calls, greet clients and visitors, and maintain excellent public relations. Update contacts in Interaction, Outlook, or document contact lists.
  • Input time entries, manage mail, open new client matters, prepare files for closure, make travel arrangements, convert documents to PDF, prepare expense reports, and process client billing using firm billing software.
Who You Are:
  • A legal professional with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Possess 3+ years of relevant experience in commercial finance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in legal software, including document management software, and embracing new technologies for law practice
Pay Details: $35-40/hour

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
