A bit about us:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Private Chef to prepare meals for a private household. This is a full-time position, and the chef will be responsible for planning and preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family, as well as for special events, holidays, and parties. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. They will be able to adapt to the family's tastes and dietary needs, and will have a passion for food and a commitment to health and safety.

The compensation range above does not include bonuses or any overtime.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and prepare daily meals for the family, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
2. Customize meals and menus based on dietary needs and preferences of the family.
3. Source high-quality, fresh ingredients, ensuring that all food is of the highest quality.
4. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
5. Cater special events, holidays, and parties, creating unique and delicious menus for each occasion.
6. Work closely with the family to learn their likes, dislikes, and dietary restrictions, and adjust menus accordingly.
7. Collaborate with other household staff to ensure smooth operation of the household.
8. Continually research and implement new cooking techniques to improve food quality and presentation.
9. Handle other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Private Chef or similar role.
2. Culinary school diploma or equivalent culinary certification.
3. Extensive knowledge of different cuisines and cooking techniques.
4. Proven experience with meal planning and preparation.
5. Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
6. Ability to adapt menus and dishes to accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
8. Exceptional understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
9. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to understand and fulfill the family's culinary preferences.
10. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
12. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for sourcing ingredients.
13. A passion for food and cooking, with a commitment to providing exceptional meals and dining experiences.
