Printing Estimator

Leading flexible package printing and converting company in IL is searching to hire an Estimator due to client demand.
Responsibilities include:

• Receives requests for price quotations, purchase orders, order changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from domestic & international customers as well as the sales team and distributors.

• Estimates material and labor costs based on analysis of customer specifications, pricing schedules for labor and materials, and historical data, and expedites job costing to customers as requested.

• Prioritizes and maintains the status of multiple on going projects.

• Conducts extensive detailed communication with customer engineers, manufacturing partners, and material suppliers.

• Recommends purchases as needed to meet or improve the production schedule.

• Analyzes post-production costs and uses data to inform future project estimates.

• Works within ERP system to search and review data, as well as input of information.

• Handles customer calls, including contacting customers to ascertain data omitted on orders, providing production status, coordinating special instructions and managing customer requests.
Qualifications include:

• 10+ years of manufacturing related experience and 3+ years Estimating experience in the printing industry; Flexible Packaging industry experience preferred.

• Previous ERP/MRP experience required, Radius MRP system experience a plus.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Outlook) required.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to communicate and share knowledge with others.

• Works well with other departments in communication of timelines, priorities and resolving issues.
