Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Print Production Clerk to support high-volume printing and finishing operations. This position involves preparing print jobs, operating digital production equipment, performing quality checks, managing supply inventories, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and capable of performing physical tasks throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities - Print & Production Operations:
- Operate digital production print equipment and perform finishing tasks using cutters, booklet makers, folders, inserters, laminators, hole punchers, and coil binding machines
- Schedule and prioritize incoming job requests; troubleshoot and resolve printing issues as needed
- Update job tickets in customer systems and prepare completed work for delivery
- Perform operator maintenance and routine inspections on print and copy equipment
- Inspect files for print-readiness, including resolution, fonts, and layout registration
- Index and archive electronic documents as required
- Customer Support & Communication:
- Communicate with customers to clarify job requirements and resolve escalations
- Provide excellent written and verbal customer service
- Respond to service issues using specific PC tools and escalate when necessary
Inventory & Administration: - Monitor and maintain supply inventory levels
- Track and coordinate office equipment moves, adds, and changes
- Collect and record job data; assist in developing or updating work processes and templates
Required Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of relevant experience in print production or a similar role
- Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Comfortable standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. for extended periods
- Basic to intermediate proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to use standard formulas, sort/filter data, and create graphs in Excel
- Demonstrated business professionalism and reliability
Preferred Qualifications - Post-secondary technology training or related experience
- Experience with document assembly, digital printing, and file inspection
Certifications (if any) - None required; post-secondary print/technology certifications are a plus
